Beowulf - Good VS. Evil In Beowulf, the conflict between potent and devilish is the poems main and most important aspect. The poet makes it clear that rich and evil do not exist as dormant opposites, but that both qualities ar present in everyone. Beowulf represents the dividing line leader to do good, or to act titles selflessly and in dish up of others. Goodness is also showed throughout this heroic poem as having the cleverness to cleanse evil. Even though evil is presented by Grendel, Grendels mother, and the dragon, who are filled with a desire to act against people and lastly destroy them. Even pride, a humanity quality, is presented in Beowulf as a sign that evil exists.
